Coastal Path Walks

No visit would be complete without exploring the stunning coastline of Cardigan Bay.  The Ceredigion stretch is 60 miles of the 870 mile path around the Welsh coast.  There are spectacular views of rugged cliffs, coves and wildlife.  Once of the most scenic if the walk from New Quay to Aberaeron.  Walking along you may spot Dolphins and Seals, as well as nesting birds in the Spring.

Birdwatching at the Welsh Wildlife Centre

There are regular sightings of Kingfishers, Otters and wading birds at the centre.  It is also home to wonderful flora and fauna.

Birdwatching at Bwlch Nant Yr Arian

The Forest offers scenic walks and mountain bike trails plus a visitors centre.  The main attraction is the daily feeding session of the Red Kites which takes place in the afternoon.

Cors Caron Nature Reserve

Cors Caron is a raised bog reserve which is home to rare flora and fauna and is a haven for birdwatchers.  The boardwalk offers opportunities to spot the wildlife that call the Reserve home.

Devil’s Bridge Falls

The area has breathtaking views with a series of falls nestled in the heart of the Rheidol Gorge.  Legend says the original bridge was built by the Devil himself.  You can also explore the ancient woodlands.

The Rheidol Railway also runs from Aberystwyth to Devil’s Bridge if you want to take a steam train up the Valley.

Ynyslas Reserve

The estuary has mudflats, sandbanks and saltmarsh that provide feeding and roosting areas for wetland birds.  You can explore the dunes, beach and seashore on the walking trails from the car park.

Hafod Estate

The Estate offers many picturesque walking trails which take you through beautiful woodlands and meadows, where you can also enjoy the waterfalls.

The Cambrian Mountains

The Mountains have a range of walking trails where you can explore woods and waterfalls, and enjoy the fabulous views.

Canoeing on the River Teifi

Adventure Beyond /Cardigan Bay Active  provide canoes to explore this beautiful river where you can spot wildlife and enjoy the peaceful surroundings.  If you are lucky, you may even spot an Otter.

Fantasy Farm

The park is a family run working farm where you will be able to get up close and interact with their farm animals.  There is also a Children’s play area.

Cardigan Island Coastal Farm Park

With views over Cardigan Island, the Park offers the change to interact with their farm animals and take a cliff top walk to look for dolphins.  There is also a Children’s play area.
